ALBUM RELEASE: voices of women

Two years ago, friend and colleague Heather Fetrow asked if I might be interested in working on a recording project with her, something she wanted to create to honor her grandparents’ musical legacy. Little did I know that this would lead to a release on Affetto Records, distribution through Naxos, stellar artwork by Heather’s sister Katy Fetrow, a commissioned duet by Paola Prestini and Mark Campbell with Heather’s sister Rebecca Obert, and the exploration of a topic that spans centuries yet is “Still” (the name of our commissioned piece!) so timely in today’s modern world.

In addition to vocal works by and about women, I also play two short piano pieces, one by Iranian-American composer Gity Razaz, and another by serialist composer (and my grandmother-in-law), Virginia Seay. You can buy it on iTunesAmazon and Naxos.
